NIGHTWISH Mainman To Produce New INDICA Album
May 8, 2008Finnish pop/rock band INDICA, who opened for NIGHTWISH on the Scandinavian leg of their current world tour, has tapped NIGHTWISH mainman/keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen to produce its new album, tentatively due in September.
Commented INDICA: "In the beginning we were concerned about getting our schedules to concur, given that NIGHTWISH is touring, but everyone unanimously agreed to sell their souls to this project. The only leisure requirement was two laundry days for Tuomas, which was granted by the INDICA council."
INDICA was founded in 2002. Jani Jalonen of Sony Music became interested in the group, and a recording contract was signed.
INDICA's first album, "Ikuinen Virta", was released in 2004. It has since sold platinum in Finland. The group's latest CD, "Kadonnut Puutarha", came out last year.
